Tonkeeper Is Disappearing. Keeper Is Taking Its Place
Tonkeeper is preparing the biggest change in the wallet’s history. The project is moving away from the TON-only model and turning into a multichain platform called Keeper, with support for TON, Bitcoin, Ethereum, TRON, Base, Arbitrum, and BNB Chain. The official announcement has not been published yet, but the new website, GitHub repositories, and fresh app builds have already revealed most of what is coming.
Today, Tonkeeper published an encrypted message on X. Once decoded, it turned out to be far more dramatic than a typical product teaser:
“OH, IN A FEW HOURS THE WORLD WILL BE SPLIT INTO BEFORE AND AFTER; THIS IS GOING TO BE LEGENDARY. SCREENSHOT THIS.”
At first, it could have been dismissed as standard marketing hype. But the technical traces suggest that Tonkeeper is indeed preparing the biggest transformation in the wallet’s history.
A page for the upcoming Keeper product was indexed on the new domain with a direct statement:
“Tonkeeper is now Keeper. Same wallet, more chains.”
This does not appear to be a separate product launching alongside Tonkeeper. It is the continuation of Tonkeeper under a new brand.
The biggest change is obvious: the wallet is moving beyond TON. The Keeper page lists seven networks: TON, Bitcoin, Ethereum, TRON, Base, Arbitrum, and BNB Chain. That changes the category of the product itself. Tonkeeper is no longer positioned as a wallet for a single ecosystem and is moving toward direct competition with major multichain wallets.
One Wallet for Multiple Networks
Based on the infrastructure already prepared, Keeper will not simply act as an interface for buying external assets. Users will be able to hold, send, and receive assets across multiple blockchains inside one application.
One of the most important technical clues can be found in Tonkeeper’s GitHub. The ton-keychain repository is designed to generate TON, ETH, TRX, and BTC accounts from a TON mnemonic. This suggests that the developers have been preparing a way to use an existing seed phrase across multiple blockchains.
That helps explain the phrase:
“Same wallet, more chains.”
Cross-Chain Swaps Without Manual Bridges
Keeper also promotes cross-chain swaps without requiring users to manually move through separate bridge services. Assets from different networks should be exchangeable directly inside one interface.
The routing and liquidity providers have not yet been disclosed, so it is too early to judge the technical implementation. But the direction is clear: Keeper wants to remove separate bridges, third-party interfaces, and unnecessary steps from the user experience.
Battery Moves Beyond TON
Tonkeeper Battery is also becoming a multichain feature. The new page mentions support for TRON, which should allow users to send USDT without needing to hold TRX separately for transaction fees.
This may become one of the most practical changes in the new wallet. Keeper is effectively trying to abstract gas from the user and make asset transfers simpler across multiple networks.
DeFi Goes Multichain
The future Keeper interface already features names such as Aave, Morpho, Compound, Spark, Euler, Venus, Maple, Uniswap, Curve, STON.fi, EVAA, and other applications.
This means the built-in Web3 experience is no longer limited to TON. Keeper is positioning itself as an entry point into DeFi across several ecosystems.
The page also includes a separate “Trade beyond crypto” section focused on tokenized markets. The provider and the exact asset list have not yet been disclosed, but the direction is clear: Keeper wants to support not only cryptocurrencies, but also tokenized financial assets.
Fiat Inside the Same App
Keeper also lists Apple Pay, bank cards, PayPal, Revolut Pay, Venmo, Volt, and a P2P Market.
That gives the platform nearly a full financial flow inside one interface: fiat deposits, asset storage, multichain transfers, DeFi access, swaps, and withdrawals.
At the same time, the wallet continues to position itself as self-custodial. Private keys remain with the user, although individual payment providers may apply their own KYC requirements.
GRAM Is Already Part of the New Model
The new Keeper page uses the phrase:
“Earn on GRAM without giving up custody.”
This is another sign that the product is being rebuilt for a new phase of the TON and Telegram ecosystem. Keeper is launching not only with a new brand, but also with new terminology.
The Update Was Prepared in Advance
The traces of preparation appeared before today’s teaser. Android build 26.09.1 was already ready in advance, while the same version began rolling out on iOS shortly before the expected announcement. The changelog, however, still contains only the standard wording:
“Bug fixes and stability improvements.”
The Keeper website had also already been prepared before being placed behind a “See you soon” placeholder.
So today’s encrypted X post does not look like the beginning of the story. It looks more like the final teaser before a launch that has already been prepared behind the scenes.
If the official announcement confirms the details already visible through the website, code, and app builds, Tonkeeper will effectively be closing its TON-only chapter and moving into a new multichain model under the Keeper brand.
